About

Everything Silkworms is based in Melbourne, Victoria. We were founded in 2010, and endeavour to make sure that future generations, as well as the current generation, are exposed to the amazing nature of Silkworms – much like children of the past. We are all about Silkworms!

What do we do?

We feed our Silkworms only the best and freshest Mulberry Leaves  to ensure that our Silkworms are of the best quality for your satisfaction. We are also focused on making sure our Silkworms live a happy and peaceful life by:
  • Making sure they are healthy and free of disease.
  • Never killing them in their cocooning process.

Why are we different to other Silkworm suppliers?

Unlike many other Silkworm providers you may come across on the web, our mission is to continue delivering our core product – Silkworms and related items – at an affordable price for everyday Australians, so that young children – especially in the classroom – and adults alike can experience the joys of rearing Silkworms. Many other providers will sell their product for the primary purpose of being sold as pet feeders – where the Silkworms are raised to a point where the owner deems them to be a suitable size, before feeding them to reptiles and other pets. While we do also accomodate for this area, we do not target this section of Silkworm rearing, and we are proud to say that. We prefer and encourage humane rearing practices whereby Silkworms are afforded the opportunity to live out their full life-cycle and lay eggs to accomodate for generations to come!

Our current projects

We need your waste cocoons! We are currently looking to undertake a major project transforming the Australian Silk landscape and we need your help. If you would like more information or if you have spare cocoons and would like to be part of something special please contact us here.

You may be interested to know that we are currently looking into making a Mulberry Tree Map, consisting of every Mulberry Tree in Australia. The idea behind it is that it will allow everyone who doesn’t have a Mulberry Tree to still able to raise Silkworms. If you know of any Mulberry tree locations in Australia, please message us, and we will send you a FREE map once we have completed it! We appreciate your help!
